The Jordan Concrete Association, in cooperation with the Jordan Engineers Association and the American Concrete Institute, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Enhancing Bridge Longevity and Structural Integrity with Innovative Materials and Techniques” on June 16, 2025, at the Jordan Engineers Association headquarters. The symposium was presented by Dr. Abdul Jalil Belarbi, a lecturer at the University of Houston in the United States and a fellow of the American Concrete Institute. He reviewed modern methods of using fibers and new synthetic materials to enhance the lifespan of concrete bridges. Dr. Belarbi also discussed advanced techniques for treating cracks that appear during use, explaining how these innovations contribute to improving the performance and structural safety of bridges.
