JCA 1981

  •  Participation in the meetings of the Central Directorate of specifications and standards.
  • A visit to the companies of the production of ready-made concrete and exit in the building of the Municipality of Amman, which used concrete pieces precast.

JCA 1983

  •  Participate in the construction of specialized seminar which was held at the University of Jordan.
  • Participate in a seminar on the cost of periodic architecture.
  • Participate in a seminar to control the quality of concrete products.
  • Participating in the meetings of the Committee on Natural Resources -sulth quarries to adjust the quality of quarries and aggregates resulting from it and suggest ways to improve the quality of production for gravels.

JCA 1986

  • Lecture on "Cement in asphalt mixtures" presented by Dr. Daoud Jabbji and Engineer Hani Khamash.
  • Lecture on "Central Mix" presented by Eng. Mohammed Shaaban and Eng. Riad Al Tabaa.
  • Participate with the Royal Scientific Society to discuss the problems of the mosaic tiles of Jordan and its local specifications and methods of examination.
  • Contribution to the preparation of the Jordanian standard specifications related to the central mixing and the quandrin stone in the Directorate of Standards and Metrology.

JCA 1987

  •  Participating in a seminar on better roads, which was held by the Jordan Roads Association. Eng. Hamdallah Al Nabulsi participated in a working paper on "Collapses" and Dr. Ezzeddine Katkhada with a paper on "Quality Control in Improving the Level of Asphalt Mixes".
  • Participation in the Supreme Committee of the Second Arab Conference of Structural Engineering, 19-22 / 4/1987.
  • Lecture on "Alkaline Interaction of Granules in Concrete" presented by Engineer Falak Al-Sarraf.

  • Lecture on "Steps towards Creativity" presented by Dr. Sami Al-Rasheed on 12-4-1988.
  • Lecture on "cracks in concrete installations" presented by Eng. Mamdouh Arshidat on 22-6-1988.
  • Lecture on "Concrete Concrete Pumping" presented by Dr. Helmet Bering from Germany on 21-6-1988.
  • Lecture on "Adding Local Materials to Imported Materials in Industrial Establishments" presented by Dr. Munther Haddadin on 30-11-1988.
  • Participating in the symposium held by the Jordanian Roads Association, where Dr. Ezzeddin Ktakhda participated in a paper entitled "Crushing in Jordan and its causes and treatment".
  • A scientific visit to Remix Ready Cement Industries Company to view its works.
  • Participate in the meeting held in the Department of Standards and Metrology to discuss the standard (taking fresh concrete samples).
  • Participating in the preparatory committee of the symposium "Specifications of quarrying products and marbles in Jordan" called by the Engineers Syndicate.

JCA 1989

  •  Attending the meetings of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to study the project of issuing a Standard Specification for hot asphalt concrete for roads.
  • Contribution to the preparation of a specification (sampling ready-made concrete) Directorate of Standards and Metrology.
  • Participate in the committees of the Department of Standards and Metrology on the low results of gravel and concrete tests.
  • Participate in the preparatory committee for the quality control seminar in construction projects in Jordan
  • Participating in the preparatory committee for the "Specifications of quarrying and mulberry products in Jordan" organized by the Engineers Syndicate.
  • The Jordan Concrete Society held a lecture entitled "The Role of Technology and Development in Jordan", presented by Dr. Jawad Al Anani, President of the Royal Scientific Society on 28/6/1989 at the Royal Automobile Club. The lecture was successful and attended by many interested parties.
  • Engineer Riad Tabbaa presented a paper entitled "Experience of investment in the production of good aggregates" on his experience in the construction of quarry production of aggregates
  • The Jordanian branch of the American Concrete Institute cooperated with the Jordanian Concrete Society and its activities are part of the general activities of the association.
  • Issuing a joint publication with Jordan Road Association.
  • Participating in the symposium "Trenches of Services and Endowments" with a paper presented by Dr. Ezzeddin Ktakhda on (Jordan's causes and ways of treatment).
  • A field visit to Remex (Ready Cement Industries) for the company's work and the effort to provide the new services.

JCA 1990

  •  The activity of the committees was limited compared to previous years. This phenomenon may not be limited to the association, but most scientific and professional institutions and associations due to the Gulf crisis and the aggression against Iraq and the concern of the public opinion on this issue.
  • Had arranged for a lecture by Dr. Daoud Jabbaji entitled Computer Aided Structural Design and another lecture on a modified project of the building system by His Excellency the Mayor of Amman, Eng. Ali Ishmaat, but the above conditions led to the postponement.
  • Participation in the meetings of the Jordanian Standard Specification for Concrete Mixtures Part III.
  • The administrative body was formed to lay the foundations for a grant of 200 dinars per year for graduate students in engineering.
  •  The Jordan Concrete Association participated with the Jordanian Roads Association to visit the Blue-Al-Jafr concrete road project, which was used for the first concrete pavement in Jordan.
  •   It was agreed with the ACI committee to hold a scientific symposium related to the concrete, not because of the circumstances mentioned, it was postponed for an unspecified date.

JCA 1991

  •  The Association provided 300 dinars as a scholarship for postgraduate students in engineering at a Jordanian university.
  • Visit the Jordanian Concrete Society to a number of institutions and ministries that are related to concrete to introduce them to their activities and offer services.
  • A field visit to the factories of the Jordanian Concrete Industries Company and to the Petrawi Housing Project in Zarqa, where the prefabricated concrete pieces were used in partnership with the Jordan Roads Association on 5/8/1991. The visit was successful and achieved its purpose.
  • The cement factory was visited on Wednesday, 10/10/1991.
  • The Society held a lecture on "The Arab Decision Making Mechanism" presented by Dr. Jawad Al Anani on 15-10-1991 at the Marriott Hotel.
  • The Society held a lecture on "Simplified methods of analysis and design of enterprises" presented by Professor Emilio Rosenbluth on 17-11-1991 at the Marriott Hotel.
  • The participation of the Association through its representatives in discussing draft Jordanian standard specifications for a number of concrete products and concrete products.

JCA 1992

  •  The Society issued a bulletin containing news, activities and scientific and technical articles of interest, to be issued periodically, as the first and second issues were issued during this year.
  • Meeting with the Engineers Association on activating and strengthening cooperation between them.
  • Hold meetings with the ACI Committee to discuss the activities of the Committee during the previous period.

  • The Society held a lecture given by Dr. Bassam Al-Saket entitled "The current challenges facing Jordan" at the Intercontinental Hotel on 26/5/1992 at the invitation of ACI.

JCA 1993

 

  • The Association issued a single issue of the Scientific Bulletin of the Jordanian Concrete Society.
  • Visit to the Jordan International Building and Construction Exhibition, held at the Amman International Fair on 21/4/1993.
  • Participation in the meetings of the Committee of Standards and Metrology on the issuance of the Jordanian standard of light aggregates used in concrete construction on 15/6/1993.
  • Visits to a number of government institutions to revitalize the work of the Association.
  • Agreement with Jordan Road Association to hold joint lectures of interest followed by dinner  

  1. The first lecture was given by Engineer Raef Najm entitled "A Look at the Building System" on 7/7/1993 at the Empress Hotel.
  2. The second lecture: Presented by Engineer Daoud Khalaf entitled "System of tender and rehabilitation of projects" on 12/10/1993 in the Empress.

  • The Association held a seminarentitled "Durability of Concrete" in collaboration with the ACI Committee at the University of Jordan, Said Said Al Mufti, Faculty of Engineering, on Tuesday and Wednesday, 24 and 25/12/1993, attended by local lecturers and lecturers from ACI and attended by nearly 100 participants.

JCA 1994

  •  The Jordanian Concrete Society offers a maximum of 200 dinars for students to complete postgraduate studies.

  • The Society held a symposium entitled "Ready Mix Concrete in Jordan" on Monday, 24/10/1994 at the Forte Grand Hotel.
  • Agreement with the Jordanian Roads Association to hold joint lectures of benefit to all. A lecture on "Uses of Concrete in Architecture" was presented by Eng. Jafar Toukan on 13-6-1994 at the Empress Hotel.

JCA 1995

  •  The Society issued the sixth issue of the newsletter containing news and issues concerning the engineers in the field of concrete.
  • A lecture entitled "Oman, Reality and Aspirations" was presented by His Excellency Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abbadi, the Greater Amman Mayor at the Ambassador Hotel, 3/7/1995. The attendance was more than 80 participants followed by a gala dinner.
  • Participation of the Concrete Association in the Committee for the Modernization of Technical Specifications of Buildings issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
  • The participation of the Association in discussing draft Jordanian standard specifications for a number of products related to concrete and concrete products.
  • Scientific visit to the project of the roundabout bridge Interior (Gamal Abdel Nasser Square), which is under implementation and is one of the distinctive projects on 28/12/1995.
  • Participation of the Association in the Preparatory Committee for the symposium "Quality Control in Construction Projects in Jordan".
  • A lecture on "The impact of earthquakes on installations" was presented by Dr. Michel Oroki at the invitation of ACI, attended by more than 100 participants and followed by a gala dinner.
  • The recommendations of the committee of the ready-made concrete seminar in Jordan were held on 24/10/1994.

JCA 1996

  •  Participation of the Association in "Quality Control Seminar in Construction Projects in Jordan" on 14-15 / 5/1996.
  • A scientific meeting was held entitled "The reality of tile industry and standard specifications" followed by dinner on 26/6/1996 in cooperation with the Jordanian Cypriot Company for Tiles and after the scientific meeting attended by more than 100 participants dinner party.
  • The Society held a lecture entitled "Thermal and Water Insulation for Construction Projects" dated 6/11/1996 at Hill Hill Hotel followed by dinner.
  • The Association participated in the discussion of draft Jordanian standards and standards proposed for a number of products related to concrete and concrete products.
  • Participation of the Association in the Committee for the Modernization of Technical Specifications of Buildings issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
  • Send letters to tile factories, concrete additive factories, rebar factories and stone factories to open channels of communication with them and to hold seminars specialized topics and urged them to join the association.
  • Participation of the Society in the Library Committee in the Engineers Syndicate.
  • Formation of the Ready Mix Concrete Committee in the Assembly to include representatives of the prefabricated concrete factories.
  • Issue of the 7th issue of the Concrete Bulletin which contains scientific articles, news and issues of interest to engineers and those interested in concrete.

JCA 1997

  •  Coordination was held with Sika (Ghantus and his sons) to organize the symposium "Additives: Materials and Insulation" held at the Marriot Hotel and attended by foreign experts followed by a reception and the symposium was successful and attended by more than 120 participants.
  • The Association held a workshop with the ACI on the runway of the University of Jordan on 17/9/1997, in which the president of ACI attended, attended by about 100 engineers.
  • Scientific visit to the Italian company for the manufacture of insulating materials located in Giza for the stages of implementation.
  • In cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality, the Association organized a scientific visit to Wadi Haddada tunnel under implementation on 10/9/1997. The visit was successful. The colleagues were briefed on the work steps and the way the tunnel was dug and buried. A delegation of the Roads Society and engineers from the Engineers Syndicate participated.
  • A scientific lecture by the ACI committee was given by visiting Turkish Professor Tefer Dasiti entitled "A look at the future of civil engineering" at the Royal Automobile Club and followed by a gala dinner.

JCA 1998

  •  The Association made its observations on the Jordanian concrete bond to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing and the Royal Scientific Society for their approval.
  • Participation in the "Arbitration and its Role in Resolving Engineering Disputes" symposium held at the Engineers Syndicate on 20/10/1998.
  • Cooperation with the Institution of Standards and Metrology on high-tensile iron to be incorporated into the Jordanian specifications and preparation of members of the Association in the meetings of the standard specifications of Jordan.
  • Cooperation with the Natural Resources Authority, where they were provided with books on the annual report of the achievements of the quarry department of the mining department and the Department of Soil and Rock Mechanics 1997.
  • Participation in the Preparatory Committee for the Second Conference of Civil Engineering / Construction to be held in 1999 where Dr. Dawood Jabbji was appointed as a representative of the Assembly to attend, and this is attended by members of the governing body of the Preparatory Committee and the Preparatory Committee / Materials.
  • The general technical specifications for the design and implementation of the buildings have been received by the Arab Council of Ministers of Housing and Arab Excellence

JCA 1999

  •  The Association participated in the Second Engineering Conference of Civil Engineering on 4-2-1999
  • Dr. Bashar Al Nabulsi presented a working paper on "The Use of Phosphogsum for the Production of Heat Insulation Materials". Dr. Ezzeddine Ktakhda presided over the Conference Preparatory Committee for the Materials Section.
  • The Society requested the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to update the technical specifications of the Jordanian General Concrete Works and suggested that the Assembly should have a representative in the modernization committee.
  • The association was active in contact with the ACI committee to arrange a joint seminar as well as keeping the references of the committee in the Jordanian Concrete Society.
  • The Society decided to invite the American expert (Sher Wider), specialized in the design of dams concrete concrete to deliver a lecture while in the Kingdom.
  • The members of the Concrete Society were briefed on the quality of concrete held at the Royal Scientific Society.
  • The members of the Concrete Society were invited to participate in the consultative work conference in Palestine.
  • The Association participated through its members in the presence of the Jordanian Standards Committees for concrete products and their applications.
  • Agreement with Fozurok to hold a workshop on raising the level of concrete used in construction projects and improving their quality.
  • Requesting the Amir Program for Development to include the Jordanian Concrete Society in the list of beneficiaries of the training programs offered.
  • The administrative body urged all members of the association to participate and activate the committees and propose topics for lectures, meetings and scientific visits.

JCA 2000

  •  The activities of the committees were limited compared to previous years.   • Intensify the efforts to activate the activities of ACI Committee and urges the administrative body all members of the Assembly to participate and assign committees and propose topics for lectures and meetings and scientific visits.
  • The company is preparing a joint symposium with Cement Factories Company entitled "Jordanian Cement Reality and Aspirations" covering the development of administrative systems and quality assurance, keeping abreast of the development and modernization of production processes to preserve the environment, the project of facing the opening of markets, the role of cement factories in the Jordanian economy The needs of the local market of improved products and to contribute to the opening of new markets.
  • Dr. Ezzeddine Katkhada, representative of the Jordanian Concrete Society, presented a paper entitled "Quality Control of Concrete in the Jordanian Experience" at the National Building Assessment Conference in Qatar held in March 2001 in Doha.
  • The Association shall prepare a data bank on the affiliated members. The Association shall ask all members to send their mailing addresses, telephone numbers, faxes and e-mail addresses to be entered into the information bank.
  • The formation of the structural engineering committee was held and 3 meetings were held to organize its work and enrich the library of the association. The seminar was attended by the impact of the Israeli economy on the Jordanian economy under the peace agreements held on 8/4/2001 in the Engineers Syndicate.

JCA 2001

  •  Participate in the Technical Committee in the Engineers Syndicate for the technical protocol project with the Cement Factories Company.
  • The Association held a number of scientific lectures specialized in the field of engineering, and the number of lectures held in the Engineers Association (6) lectures, the lectures were characterized by valuable scientific content and good attendance.
  • Intensify the efforts to activate the activities of the ACI Committee. The administrative body urges all members of the association to participate in activating the committees and proposing subjects for lectures, meetings and scientific visits. A group of engineering engineers has been formed, whose task will be to issue high-level technical bulletins in the topics of structural engineering.
  • Attendance of the first scientific symposium for Jordanian Cement held by Jordan Cement Factories Company in Amman on June 18, 2001.
  • The President of the Society delivered a keynote lecture at the first international conference for quality control and its emphasis on materials used in construction projects, which was held in Dubai on 29-30 / 10/2001.
  • Work on the registration of the Concrete Society at JUSBP and its management (EJADA).
  • Working on the preparation of a seminar on high-tensile reinforcement steel in cooperation with Jordan Iron Company
  • Presentation of a working paper requesting the assistance of the European Jordanian Partnership (EJADA) to raise the efficiency of the work and engineering performance of the Jordanian engineering companies as well as assist them in the training and qualification to enter the neighboring and international markets. The EU-Jordan Partnership's request for assistance has been signed by the Road Association, the Concrete Society and the Engineering Office.
  • Representatives of the Concrete Society attended the discussion of the PhD thesis presented by Eng. Tareq Rasheed in response to the invitation of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Jordan to attend this discussion. The Administrative Committee extends its thanks to Eng. Khalil Al Bilbisi for his hard work and time. Field, lectures and any other matters assigned to it by the administrative body.

JCA 2002

  •  Participate in technical committee, Jordan Engineers Association for technical protocol project with Cement Factories Company.
  • The Association held a number of scientific lectures specialized in the field of engineering. The number of lectures held in the Engineers Syndicate (3) were regular lectures and were characterized by valuable scientific content and good attendance.
  • A day of scientific activity entitled "Use of high tensile iron in reinforced concrete" was held on 17/5/2002 at the Movenpick Hotel - Dead Sea under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Housing and with the support of Jordan Iron Company. Eng. Maher Khoury participated in a lecture entitled " High tensile steel in construction ". A large number of stakeholders from different public and private sectors participated in the event.
  • The Association participated in the scientific day entitled "The Second Scientific Day for Cement and its Uses", which was held on 12/1/2003 at the Royal Hotel / Amman and by the Jordan Cement Factories Company. The members of the administrative board participated in this activity. Dr. Bashar Al Nabulsi presented a lecture entitled "Problems of quality control of concrete in construction projects".
  • Addressing Amir's program to support non-governmental organizations in order to benefit from the programs provided to serve the objectives of the Jordanian Concrete Society.
  • Participate in the Technical Committee formed by His Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Housing Chairman of the Jordanian National Building Council to study the proposed ways of the Royal Scientific Society to update some codes within the second phase of updating the national building codes.

JCA 2003

  •  Participation in the Permanent Technical Committee for Building Materials / Standards Institution.
  • Addressing the Director General of the Natural Resources Authority to participate in a committee to set up a monitoring mechanism for the implementation of construction projects and public buildings. The Authority has apologized for the excuse of progress in this committee.
  • Contact with many relevant companies and companies. The work is underway to prepare scientific evenings related to concrete including an evening in cooperation with Al Fayhaa Company and a field visit to the factories of Travertine Jordan Company.
  • The visit of a number of ready-made concrete companies and Cement Factories Company to urge them to increase cooperation with the Association of Concrete and donate to the Association and has held several meetings with cement factories to issue technical bulletins for citizens using the best concrete.
  • Participation of the President of the Association in the meetings of the technical committee for the collapse of buildings and problem by His Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Housing

JCA 2004

  •  Participation in the Permanent Technical Committee for Building Materials / Standards Institution.
  • Participated in the scientific day for the use of basalt, and was run one session by the president of the association.
  • Participated in the opening ceremony of Jordan Steel Engineering Company which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade.
  • Contact many companies and related companies and work is underway to prepare scientific evenings related to concrete.
  • To continue the participation of the President of the Jordanian Association for Concrete in the meetings of the Technical Committee for the collapse of buildings and problems by the Minister of Public Works and Housing.

JCA 2005

  •  Participation in the Permanent Technical Committee for Building Materials / Standards Institution
  • Scientific visit to the project of the bridge Abdoun with the Jordanian Roads Association where the visit was successful, has been visiting the work site and see the method of construction.
  • Proposed joint scientific activity with Sika and the Concrete Association.

  • The participation of the Vice President of the Concrete Society continued in the meetings of the technical committee for the collapse of buildings and the problem of the Minister of Public Works and Housing.
  • Scientific visit to the bridge project Abdoun before opening.
  • Participation of a member of the administrative committee in the Committee for the Modernization of Jordanian Technical Specifications.
  • Participate in the presence of the 24th Arab Engineering Conference in May 2007. Read and study the recommendations of the Dead Sea Symposium for Engineering Consultancy Sector, in which the members of the administrative board of the Association participated.

  • The Association participated in a symposium entitled: Challenges Facing Ready Mix Industry in Jordan in cooperation with the Jordanian Modern Company for Concrete, where the seminar was successful and attended by the Minister of Public Works and Housing and a number of ministries, consultants and contractors.
  • Conducting a number of scientific visits.
  • The participation of more than one member of the administrative body in the Committee for the modernization of technical specifications of roads and bridges and Jordanian standards.
  • Participation in a scientific symposium on the new types of cement and its uses which was held on 13/10/2009 at the Meridian Hotel and with the support of Lafarge Cement Company under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Housing.

JCA 2010

  •  A field visit to the King Hussein Cancer Institute project in Naour on Saturday 6/3/2010 at 10 am.
  • A lecture given by Eng. Omar Shaikh Al-Ard entitled "Introduction to Post-Stress Concrete Design" at the Contractors' Union corresponding to 5/5/2010, where the lecture was successful
  •      And was attended by many participants.
  • Participation in a scientific symposium in collaboration with Northern Cement Company on 14/6/2010, using the Portland cement in the concrete mix in the Meridian Hotel under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Housing.
  • Participation in a scientific symposium in cooperation with the German Wacker Academy on 14/7/2010
  •      Entitled Optimal application of cement products using international standards and standards
  •      At the Landmark Hotel under the patronage of the Minister of Public Works and Housing.
